What Does It Mean To Be Saved?
Understanding God's gift of salvation is the most important journey you will ever take.
To be saved means to be delivered from the penalty and power of sin through faith in Jesus Christ. It is a transformation of the heart and a reconciliation with our Creator. The Bible teaches that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, but salvation is offered freely as an act of His grace to everyone who believes.
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God." — Ephesians 2:8
Okay, what should I do?
This salvation is not earned through our own merit or good works, but is received by trusting in the finished work of Christ on the cross. It brings peace, purpose, and the promise of eternal life with God.
Pray to Jesus, the man who died, and took your punishment for you... Believe what he did on the cross was for you and be thankful for it. .
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be SAVED". — Romans 10:13
There can be a punishment waiting for you, or a reward. The price has been paid, you just need to ask, and it WILL be applied to you as well.
"Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life", - Romans 5:18
